This spring break we decided to take a short weekend trip to Flagstaff. We didn't get to go sledding but had a great time playing in snow, going to the Lowell observatory, swimming in the hotel pool and just hanging out as a family. When we got home we continued to find fun things to do. Some of the highlights were going to the skate park, going on a 8 mile hike up to the towers on South mountain, swimming at Hamilton pool and going to the movies. I especially enjoyed the break because when Nick goes back to school tomorrow I will be starting my new job. Just this last week I became official again when I recieved my RN license in the mail. I have mixed feelings about going back to work but I do know that this is what I should be doing right now. I have felt the guidance of Heavenly Father through this whole process of getting my license back and the way that things have fallen into place I know I am on the right track. My heart is filled with gratitude.
The final picture on this post happened about 3 weeks before spring break. Nicholas has always been an energetic and fun kid but he also has a softer side. Unfortunately not everyone gets to see that side of Nick. Well this year I guess his teacher got a glimpse of it because one day he came home with a note stating he would be getting the caring award for the grading period. I am so proud of Nicholas. He has already overcome many obstacles in his short little life but he is a fighter and I know he will accomplish great things in his life.

so fun! I miss you guys - which is pathetic since we live in the same town. :) Congrats on getting your license and good luck with the job!
